Righteousness! Chapter Ten

Have you ever wondered why in Genesis chapter one that the writer keeps saying that God said? Paul said in Heb. 11:3,

" Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

John said in Jn. 1:1-3,

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

Heb. 11:1 says,

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

While faith is the substance of things, the Word that came out of the mouth of  God is what made everything. Therefore, the word of God is filled with His faith. When God spoke His words, they were filled with His faith. Those who  have been declared righteous shall live righteously by the Word of God which is His faith in action. Paul made a very powerful statement in Rom. 14:32,

"And he that doubts is damned if he eats, because he eats not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin."

Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. There is a big difference between missing the mark, which is what sin means and disobeying a direct command like Adam did. Sin is an old archery term which means to miss the target. When Jesus took the Law and nailed it to the cross, we were set free from written laws that control us. As a result, it is impossible for those who have been born again to sin by disobeying a direct command. However, we often miss the mark of our goal which is always living as Jesus did and thus we often need to have our feet washed by confessing to the Lord that we made a mistake. This does not make us sinners! It simply means that we have become tainted by the world we live in.

Paul said that everything that is not done by faith, or by the Word of God, is sin. This is why it is so important for us to know the Word of God and the promises to us if we will just believe. We absolutely must forsake our way, or our way of thinking, and learn how God thinks because His Words are powerful and He watches over His Word to perform it. He said in Isaiah 55:8-11,

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD.    For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.    For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:    So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Our faith cannot reach it's highest level until we get the Word of God in our heart and in our mouth. Jesus said in Lk. 6:45, (NIV)

"The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks."

We must erase the doubts in our hearts of what God has said to us! He has said that we are righteous because of what He has done through Jesus and that settles it!!! What we think about it doesn't amount of a hill of beans!

Would you like to know what Jesus had to say about His faith in you and what you have to say? He said in Mark 11:22-23,

Have faith in God For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them

Have faith in God, or have the God kind of faith! How can I have the God kind of faith? I must fill the thinking of my heart with God's faith filled words and learn to declare them! Faith in your heart is activated by what you say. Your words give faith power to bring what you believe for from the spiritual realm into the natural realm. Paul said in Rom. 10:8,

"The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;"

Faith has to be in your heart and your mouth to see results in your life. Faith is not something you can see, however, when the Word of God and your faith is in agreement, you will  have results that you can see. The Word of God, which I can see, becomes the assurance of the things I cannot yet see. The Word of God is the confirmation and the title deed to those things I hope for. This is why the Word of God is so important. When you live by faith the things that you hope for are not yet seen when you pray about them so you must learn to first look in God's Word to see if He has promised those things to you! If He has promised those things to you then what John had to say in 1 John 5:13-15 will come to pass. He said, (NIV),

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

When you have prayed believing that you have received the things you are praying about, and they have not yet manifested, go to the Word of God and find out where He has promised them to you and begin to meditate on God's Word. God' Word is watched over by Him and must be received by faith. God is not saying no to you!!! As a matter of fact Paul said in 2 Cor. 1:18-21, (NIV)

"But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God."

You are the righteousness of God and therefore, you have the right to say and receive whatever it is that is rightfully yours. God has declared you righteous. Receive it by faith and say, "Be it done unto me according to your Word," as Mary did in Luke 1:38. Don't be like Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, who, when he was told that his barren wife would have a son, said, "This cannot be so!"  Because of his unbelief, he was struck dumb until the birth of his son.

When you speak what the Word has already said, you become the establishing witness and God can bring to pass what you have declared. Romans 10 is not only a chapter about being born again; it is a chapter that shows you the principle of how righteousness operates. With the heart one believes in Jesus and becomes righteous and with the mouth the believer's confession make his life one of righteousness.

If you are not saying anything, you are not creating anything and you are not enjoying the right that you as the righteousness of God should be enjoying. Your silence is hindering the manifestation of God's promises in you life.
